General Function:

The Landscape Maintenance Foreman undertakes skilled tasks in maintenance, care, and slight modifications to client properties, overseeing the training and supervision of one or more team members. This role involves operating lawn maintenance equipment and ensuring high-quality service delivery while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.


Essential Duties:

  • Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, trimming, edging, weeding, and cleaning flower beds using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Execute landscape maintenance tasks according to the specific requirements outlined in the landscape maintenance agreement.
  • Install, repair, and maintain irrigation and lighting systems, including transformers, timers, wiring, fixtures, and water features.
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides if licensed to do so, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Interact with clients to address inquiries, requests, and make reasonable adjustments to plans as necessary.
  • Assess job quality to ensure adherence to company standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting equipment issues promptly.
  • Drive company vehicles to job sites, coordinating the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to assigned team members, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing assigned duties effectively and professionally.

ADA Considerations:

  • Physical demands include continual movement, lifting, and operation of machinery.
  • Exposure to various environmental elements and chemicals.
  • Ability to work full-time with extended hours and weekend work.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Horticulture or related field preferred.


License:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record (meeting insurance requirements).
  • Preferred: 3.00 Pesticide Applicator license.
